Our Story

"We're excited to introduce international travellers to Sarawak's unique and delicious cuisine through our store at Singapore Changi Airport," said K.L. Lim, a partner of Gourmet Sarawak who was born in Kuching and is now based in Singapore.

Gourmet Sarawak is a food outlet located at Singapore Changi Airport, specializing in authentic Sarawakian cuisine. Their first outlet is situated in Terminal 4. The second outlet in the Departure Transit Area of Terminal 3 opened in May 2023.

At Gourmet Sarawak, customers can enjoy a variety of traditional Sarawakian dishes, including the famous Kolo Mee and Laksa as well as other authentic dishes like Curry Chicken rice and Hainanese Chicken Rice. Kolo Mee is a dish made with egg noodles, minced meat, and Hong Kong styled roast pork, while Laksa is a mild spicy meehoon (rice vermicelli) soup with a rich spices’ broth. Sarawak Laksa is highly regarded as the "Breakfast of the Gods" by the late Anthony Bourdain. Gourmet Sarawak's noodles are air flown directly from an authentic 65-year-old noodle factory in Kuching, ensuring the utmost freshness and quality.

In addition to their delicious dishes, Gourmet Sarawak offers a range of specialized drinks, such as the 3 Layer Milk Tea, 3 Layer Milk Coffee, 3 Sour Blend Cold Drink, Sarawak Honey Drinks, and Roselle Mandarin Tea. They also provide a variety of Grab & Go foods and drinks for travellers on-the-go.’

Kek Lapis, or layer cake, is one of the most beloved Malaysian delicacies that originates from the state of Sarawak on the island of Borneo. Gourmet Sarawak air-flies this visually stunning cake from the best Kek Lapis bakery in Sarawak. The cake is made by layering differently coloured and flavoured batters one at a time before baking, resulting in a beautiful and intricate pattern. Kek Lapis is a popular gift and is often served at special occasions and celebrations.

Gourmet Sarawak also offers a variety of snack options with a mystic tangy flavour tagged as "Once You Start, You Can't Stop". These snacks are a must-try for anyone looking to experience the unique flavours of Sarawak.

Sarawak is a land of diverse cultures, and Kuching, the capital of Sarawak, has been awarded by UNESCO as the City of Gastronomy. Gourmet Sarawak is proud to bring the authentic and delicious flavours of Sarawakian cuisine to Singapore Changi Airport.

Customer service was excellent. We ordered the Crispy Drumettes Chicken Rice. The chicken was tender yet crispy on the outside. Delicious! One plate is enough to make you full. Highly recommended.

Tried the Sarawak Kolo Mee and it was great. Love the texture and the chilli. They provided dry tissue and even wet ones (tissue)! Perhaps giving a bowl of soup would have made the day!

Tried laksa, kolomee, and 3 layer tea. All are superb and authentic! (Recommend to put all belacan given into laksa, taste even better!) was thought the kolomee will be bland but actually kolomee is flavourful as well!
